Model Contract Language: Construction & Demolition (C&D) Specifications: Oakland CA

These Construction & Demolition (C&D) Debris Recycling specifications are for use in contracts and other construction documents, and are designed to be altered to suit any particular project. 

Three sample documents are provided:

  • New construction and demolition specifications based on a City of Oakland, CA construction project involving both demolition and new construction
  • Demolition and deconstruction specifications adapted from "Resourceful Building" (published by the Alameda County Waste Management Authority and Recycling Board)
  • Construction specifications adapted from "Resourceful Building"  

The documents offer boilerplate language for use in both municipal and private sector building contracts.  It is a concrete tool that can be used by anyone working with building contracts to ensure compliance with local C&D Waste Management regulation, and can be adapted to meet the needs of different project types.
