2009 Sacramento Region Clean Energy Roundtables: Input and Ideas for Action
The Green Capital Alliance is a community leadership project in the Greater Sacramento Region intended to “enhance the local market, develop the necessary workforce, create supportive local policies, and facilitate the growth of businesses in the Clean Energy Technology cluster.”

This 12-page report summarizes the results of the 2009 CEO roundtables hosted by the Green Capital Alliance.  The CEO roundtables were luncheon discussions with leaders from 35 local clean energy companies.  The goal of the roundtables was to define actionalbe items to “respond to company needs.”  The results are divided into the following categories:
  • Challenges facing local green energy companies
  • Opportunities to address the challenges
  • Workforce-related input
  • Ways to build education and awareness to support the sector
  • Support Growth of “newer” technologies within the region
  • Suggested changes at regional scale
  • Needed State and Federal advocacy report
The information gathered at these roundtables is used to decide the focus of Green Capital Alliance’s work in 2009.
