A Business Guide to EPA Climate Partnership Program

This 2008 guide was developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and BSR, and is designed to help companies and nonprofits identify EPA Partnership Programs appropriate for their needs. Thirty-six programs and 24 industry sectors are outlined in a table showing overlapping areas of interest. For each program, the guide quickly summarizes the business value, services provided and most applicable industries.

This guide is designed to help businesses find the most relevant EPA Partnership Program in four steps:

  1. Find programs applicable to the industry using the Program Finder Table.
  2. Review Program Profiles for the programs applicable to the industry. The “Program Profiles” section of this guide provides a profile of each climate-related EPA Partnership Program, listed in alphabetical order. A program Web site and contact is provided in each of the program profiles for further information.
  3. Contact the programs to learn more about benefits, services, resources, and commitments required.
  4. Consider participation in a program.

This guide is a useful tool for helping industry find funding and partnership opportunities with the EPA. It concisely summarizes all the programs and what they do. It also provides the business case necessary to convince management that these programs are a worthwhile investment of time and assets.
