Planning and Conducting Green Design Charrettes: Training Module

Planning and Conducting Green Design Charrettes: Training Module

Southface Energy Institute online module with the following learning objectives:

  1. Learn the value of green design charrettes in achieving integrated design
  2. Understand the planning and logistics required for a successful charrette.
  3. Review successful examples of green design charrettes.

This is a four-part module that helps the user understand what a charrette is, what benefits a charrette can provide, how to plan and conduct a green design charrette, and what resources are available to facilitate a charrette.

Planning and facilitating a charrette requires some effort up-front but reduces effort in the long run. Building partnerships early on allows organizations to effectively communicate ideas to ensure that best practices and outcomes are addressed from the onset.
