Three Greatest Accomplishments to Date:
1. Energy efficiency retrofits at more than 60 City facilities for an annual savings of $1.6 million.
2. Citywide upgrades to 26,000 streetlights for an annual savings of $840,580 in energy costs and $87,000 in operations and maintenance costs.
3. The conversion of non-essential turf to water-efficient landscaping in City parks has reduced annual water consumption by 77 million gallons. The City's streetscape turn conversion program has saved an additional 3.7 million gallons by removing turf along City streets.

We have completed a baseline emissions inventory (2005) for both municipal operations and the community as a whole.

Green Building Ordinance: YES
It is for city funded buildings, commercial space and residential buildings. The City has adopted the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code, and we are currently reviewing the International Green Construction Code for possible adoption in 2012. In addition, the City added a Sustainability section to its Development (Zoning) Code in 2010.
