Dashboard report goes quarterly to the Green Cincinnati Steering Committee.  Annual report goes to Mayor and Council.

The Office of Sustainability reports to the Office of Environmental Quality and the City Manager.  It resides in the City Manager's office.  There are five different positions in the office of Sustainability: (1)Director; (2) Environmental Manager; (3) Senior Environmental Specialist; (4) Environmental Specialist 2; (5) Administrative Specialist.

It's funded through the General Fund - $600,000 in 2009.

1. Develop Sustainability Plan and Climate Action Plan
2. Maintain updated Sustainability Plan and Climate Action Plan
3. Support city executive and senior management team in the design of overall strategy and process for the project
4. Coordinate and lead City's Green Team
5. Develop criteria, policies and procedures for sustainable programs
6. Oversee and maintain sustainability budget
7. Track, monitor, and report utility usage and greenhouse gas emissions of city operations
8. Track, monitor, and report greenhouse gas emissions at the community level
9. Track and report about sustainability programs underway on a regular basis through the City's performance management program
10. Foster, develop, and launch projects in partnership with city departments and external stakeholders
11. Identify and secure funding resources from outside sources (ex. Federal grants) for projects
12. Represent the City at key meetings
13. Develop a multi-faceted communication strategy within the organization and the community to promote the City's efforts locally, statewide, and nationally to gain recognition
14. Perform financial analysis on ongoing and new projects

There is no mechanism in place for long-term sustainability.
