We are in the process of developing a sustainability report and structure for tracking successes and progress.

The Office of Sustainability sits in the City Manager's office and reports to the Director of the City Manager's Office.  The staff consists of a Manager and two sustainability consultants.

We have a 500K annual budget built in our base budget.

1. Develop a multi-faceted communication strategy within the organization and the community to promote the City's efforts locally, statewide, and nationally to gain recognition
2. Foster, develop, and launch projects in partnership with city departments and external stakeholders
3. Develop criteria, policies and procedures for sustainable programs
4. Develop Sustainability Plan and Climate Action Plan
5. Maintain updated Sustainability Plan and Climate Action Plan
6. Oversee and maintain sustainability budget
7. Perform financial analysis on ongoing and new projects
8. Represent the City at key meetings
9. Support city executive and senior management team in the design of overall strategy and process for the project

We have a three year business planning and budgeting cycle that we have established.  We are in the process of using sustainability as a framework for this process.  We have several key Council approved policies which are in place around planning, climate change, our community engagement process, green building, ISO 14001, etc.
