Transportation Sustainability Principles: Action Checklist

Transportation Sustainability Principles: Action Checklist

Transportation represents the second largest (19%) household expenditure in the United States, after housing.  Cities and their residents want and need a broader range of transportation options, both for financial and environmental reasons.

This checklist, adapted largely from the Smart Growth Leadership Institute Smart Growth Project Scorecard, provides basic steps to putting sustainability principles for transportation into action.  Transportation and Land use are interrelated issues, so be sure to visit the Land Use Sustainability Principles: Action Checklist.
