State Energy Profiles (U.S. Energy Information Administration)

This database contains a wealth of information about the energy used in the United States including: how and where it is produced, how it is distributed, where it is used, and how much it costs.
For each state, the database provides prices for energy (petroleum, natural gas, coal, and electricity). The database also supplies information on the energy reserves and supply -- including fossil fuel reserves, production, and capacity as well as electricity generation. Information on distribution centers, major pipelines and fueling stations are discussed. Finally, for each state consumption information as well as information on how the energy produced affects the environment is given.
This database is an invaluable resource for individuals interested in learning more about their state’s energy profile and how it ranks with other states.
