Creating Complete Streets: Briefing
This template provides the framework for a brief executive summary to a Mayor, City Manager, or other Chief Executive on creating a complete streets program and its benefits. Complete streets, aka livable streets, are roadways designed and operated to enable safe, attractive, and comfortable access and travel for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and public transit users of all ages and abilities.
This briefing document can be utilized as a press conference briefing, stakeholder meeting briefing, or a conversation outline for the Sustainability Officer to summarize the issue in 30 seconds with the municipal executive.
It is important to note that this template is offered only as a starting point. Sustainability Officers will need to customize this briefing document to reflect the specific conditions and data of their local communities and proposals.
